Since 1990, Health Designs has been working with Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care to provide results-oriented,
cost-effective programs that focus on the prevention, detection
and treatment of disorders related to the workplace. While
quality medical care is the cornerstone of our industrial
health services, a timely return-to-work philosophy is a
core component of our success.
Our

We
offer a complete program of cost-effective industrial
health services. Many of these services can be customized
to fit your specific needs and can take place on-site:
Immediate
care
Our three Urgent Care Centers provide medical care for
injured workers seven days a week.
- Immediate
treatment of injuries such as lacerations, burns,
sprains or strains, eye injuries, simple fractures,
etc.

Preventive

Health Designs can provide preplacement physical exams,
screenings and assessments tailored to your individual
needs at our Urgent Care Centers or at your site, including:

Substance
abuse treatment
ARP/Phoenix, a Sisters of Mercy subsidiary, provides a complete
continuum of care for workplace substance abuse issues.
Same-day assessments can usually be scheduled with a return-to-work
plan completed and start date determined at that time. Services
offered include:
- In-depth
assessments
- Education
- Intensive
outpatient treatment
- Continuing
care services
ARP/Phoenix
counselors work closely with your representatives to provide
early identification and treatment of substance abuse.
This approach can help decrease absenteeism, prevent workplace
injuries and reduce workers compensation claims.
ARP/Phoenix offers day, evening and weekend individual
and group treatment opportunities to accommodate a variety
of work schedules.
Cost-effective
health services
We have designed our programs to create and maintain a
safe workplace, minimize lost workdays, and improve job
performance and job satisfaction. To make our industrial
health services even more affordable to you, a retainer
system with guaranteed cost restrictions and services
is available. Special discounts are offered to our clients
who are on retainer.
Our clients
Health Designs provides industrial health services for
90 percent of the 40 largest industries in Buncombe County.
Altogether, we serve more than 1000 Western North Carolina
businesses and industries.
