A part of Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care since 1990, Health Designs has been partnering with industries, businesses, and other employers to provide results-oriented, cost-effective occupational health programs that focus on prevention, detection and treatment. While quality medical care is the cornerstone of our industrial health services, a timely return-to-work philosophy is a core component of our success.

Our services
We offer a complete program of cost-effective industrial health services that can be customized to fit your specific needs:

Immediate care
Our five Urgent Care Centers provide medical care for injured workers seven days a week.

  • Immediate treatment of injuries such as lacerations, burns, sprains or strains, eye injuries, simple fractures, etc.
  • Prompt reporting to employer of extent of injury, disability or limitations
  • Follow-up medical care
  • Specialty referrals
  • Disability management

Preventive care
Health Designs can provide pre-placement physical exams, screenings and assessments tailored to your individual needs at our
Urgent Care Centers or at your site, including:

  • Physical examinations
    • Post offer/Pre-placement
    • Annual
    • Return-to-work
    • Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Drug testing/Specimen collection
    • Non-DOT drug testing
    • DOT drug testing
    • Pre-employment
    • Post-accident
    • Random
    • Periodic
  • Breath alcohol testing
  • OSHA-mandated services
    • Hepatitis B vaccinations
    • Post-exposure treatment and documentation
  • Special clinical testing
    • EKG's as part of physicals

On-site health care
We can provide physicians, nurses or other trained staff for on-site medical care for your employees.

Employee training programs
The following training programs can be provided at your site or at one of our Urgent Care Centers.
  • Training, including:
    • CPR
    • first aid
    • simple wound care
    • removal of foreign bodies from eyes
    • blood borne pathogens
    • establishing and providing backup for standard procedures
    • burn care
