Applying for financial help through the Compassionate Care Program
Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care Centers strive to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to everyone in the communities we serve. We understand that some patients may not have enough money to pay for this care. To serve those who find themselves in this situation, Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care, Inc. has established the Compassionate Care Program. If you qualify for this program, you will receive assistance in paying for today’s office visit. To determine your eligibility for this program, please follow the Compassionate Care Application Guidelines.

Compassionate Care Application Guidelines
  • Submit an application and all requested documents within 24 hours of the date of service.
  • Include income information on all income-producing family members of the immediate household.
  • Provide proof of income using W2 forms or other valid income verification documents.
  • Grant Sisters of Mercy signed permission to obtain a current credit report.
  • Submit a separate application for financial help for each new visit.
  • Approval for one visit does not assure that you will receive financial help for future visits.
  • You must meet our requirements to receive financial help for your medical care. Submitting an application is no guarantee that this assistance will be granted.

Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care will:

  • Notify all applicants regarding the status of their Compassionate Care application within 72 hours.
  • Upon approval, clearly specify the percentage of the total bill covered.

Who is responsible for your bill?
The patient (or requesting adult, if the patient is a minor) is financially responsible for the costs of any healthcare services Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care provides.

If you apply for and are granted financial help through our Compassionate Care Program, we will notify you of the reduction in your bill and will adjust it accordingly.

Questions?
We may also be able to help you find assistance at other agencies. If you have questions, you may call 828-252-8957.
