Our Urgent Care Centers are staffed by board-certified physicians who are skilled in the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Each of our physicians is dedicated to providing you excellent medical care and to do so in a caring, respectful manner.

David S. Bate, M.D.
Medical Director

Education: Hamilton College, B.S., 1969; George Washington University, M.D., 1979
Residency: MAHEC Family Practice Residency, 1979-1982, Chief Resident, 1980-1982
Board certifications: American Board of Family Practice, American Board of Holistic Medicine, Certified Medical Review Officer
Length of time at Urgent Care: 20 years
Other information: Dr. Bate has expertise in occupational medicine, alternative and complementary medicine and correctional health care.

 

Charles E. Blair, M.D.
Staff Physician

Education: Alcorn State University, B.S., 1978; Meharry Medical School, M.D., 1982
Residency: Martin Army Hospital, 1983-1985
Board certifications: American Board of Family Practice
Length of time at Urgent Care: 13 years
Other information: Dr. Blair has 18 years of experience in family medicine and is active in promoting preventive medicine and wellness education in the community.

 

Obie Cuento , M.D.

Other information: Dr. Cuento is a member of the regional faculty of the American Heart Association and Fellow, American College of Surgeons. He also teaches Advanced Cardiac Life and Advanced Pediatric Life Support Courses.

 

Lisa Ladd, M.D.

Ellen Lawson, M.D.

Residency: Northshore University Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, 1976-1979

Other information: Dr. Lawson has served as a missionary in the Democratic Republic of Congo and as the director of several emergency departments in the U.S.

 

Lisa Perino, M.D.

Other information: Dr. Perino has 12 years experience in family medicine. She has served in medical missions in Kenya, Zambia, Philippines, Vietnam, Guatemala and the West Indies. She also is an ABCCM volunteer.

 

Shannon Dowler, M.D.
